How to Start Implanting Fur Using Direction and Section Order
Follow the direction, follow the sections. Everything else will fall into place.
1. Direction first
Back to front, toward the nose. Always.
2. Follow the section order
Implant the fur section by section. Start with the main head, then move to the upper muzzle, and finally the lower muzzle. Working in sections helps the fur flow naturally across the face.
3. Anchor the fibers properly
Make sure enough of the longer back fibers are anchored into the base. If only the tips are secured, the fur may loosen later.
4. When you reach the eyes
Stay calm and keep the same direction. Gently insert the fibers along the eye line and secure them between the base and the eye. The eyes will start disappearing under the fur — that's completely normal. We'll reveal them later.
5. When you reach the nose opening
Implant fibers directly into the hole and anchor them inside, not just on the surface. The nose hole may start to close as you work : that's expected. We'll reopen it and reinsert the nose later. Just keep moving forward.
6. Build flow before density
Don't rush to add too much fur. Focus on direction first. You can always add more later.
Tip : When starting the upper muzzle, leave about one row of space from the seam where the muzzle meets the head. This helps the fur transition more naturally.
